MSD - Carlow - External Lighting
External streetlighting upgrade along the roadway in MSD Carlow campus.
Waveguide replaced current 150w & 250w SON streetlights with new Waveguide Meteor streetlights achieving a more uniformed level of light and achieving energy savings in excess of 70%.
Waveguide also completed a retrofit of the 850w metal halide area lights using a bespoke retro plate consisting of 18 rods at 340w with a split reflector to achieve the high lux levels required onsite for security.
Waveguide designed, supplied, and installed the Waveguide LED streetlights for this client.
Using our Waveguide Technology, we were able to use the wide beam of our reflector tape in our rods to shine light sideways, enabling us to achieve the high levels of uniformity and to achieve the 5 lux minimum require onsite.
The long lifetime of the LED lights gives the client peace of mind as the L70 to133,000
